These authoritative reports, written by visiting experts and other correspondents, are designed to further examine the worlds of science and fiction. Our guest authors include:

Debbie Viguié Debbie Viguié (email) is the New York Times Bestselling author of over two dozen novels including the Wicked and Crusade series co-authored with Nancy Holder. In addition to her epic dark fantasy work Debbie also writes thrillers including The Psalm 23 Mysteries and the Kiss trilogy. When Debbie isn't busy writing she is the voice of Claire on Doctor Geek's Laboratory of Applied Geekdom.

Dr. Stephen GranadeDr. Stephen Granade (email) is a physicist specializing in robotic systems and sensors. His sensors have flown in space, controlled robot-flown helicopters, and guided the shuttle to the Hubble Space Telescope. He has provided scientific commentary for, CBS Marketwatch, and Jalopnik, and has won awards for presentations to non-scientist audiences.

His PhD research was on trapping and cooling neutral atoms to nearly absolute zero by using really powerful lasers, vacuum systems, and a fair amount of Mountain Dew. During that research he only set fire to himself once, shocked himself twice, and still has two working eyes.

Donald KennethDonald Kenneth (email), musician and entertainer, who has performed with innumerable national acts such, as the Beach Boys and Neil Diamond and currently performs in the Time Lord rock band the Ken Spivey Band, recently joined Dr. Geek's Lab as a science correspondent. Donald is uniquely qualified precisely because he is not a professional scientist. He possesses an endearing "everyone who loves science" quality.

Donald's college course work included calculus, statistics, chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, botany, anthropology, physics, and astronomy. Both his undergraduate and graduate degrees were in Economics. Today, Donald Kenneth's "inner child" passions are music, particle physics, and cosmology." One of his favorite "past times" is to gently poke fun at junk science and poor science reporting.
